We regularly ask for feedback from employers about our OMBS graduates.
Pip Cox at Joyce Guiness
Last week we had Tess, a student at Oxford Media & Business School, working with us and gaining experience of working in an office. She spent her week doing lots of social media, writing job adverts and learning how to manoeuvre around the website and how to add jobs and content. We thought she was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed having her in the office with us. For those of you finishing school and not sure whether to go to university, straight into the workplace or looking for something different to do, have a read of the blog that Tess has written for us about her time at Oxford Media & Business School. Thank you Tess!

Rebecca Siciliano at Tiger Recruitment
Our West End and City offices absolutely love working with OMBS candidates. We specialise in business support recruitment for a range of sectors including financial services, banking, tech start-ups, creative agencies, property, professional services and education to name a few. Most, if not all, of these sectors value the skills of OMBS graduates immensely.
One such example is an investment banking company in the City, with whom we placed a 2018 graduate shortly after she graduated. She started as a team assistant and, within six months, progressed into a more senior role as PA to a director there. Her employer felt that she had all the right skills for the role of course but – more importantly – also had the right attitude. Being willing to learn new tasks, having an enthusiasm to help with different projects, and going above and beyond were all important qualities that saw her stand out from the crowd.
These soft skills are arguably just as important to employers. The Diploma at OMBS is hugely successful at teaching students both the soft and hard skills required in a competitive job market.

“A quick note to say I have had the pleasure of Laura’s company all day; the team were on a Spa Day leaving us together to hold the fort.
She was absolutely charming and very able – in particular taking all the phone calls, along with other tasks. I know the team have been very impressed with her during the course of the week but I wanted to include my personal feedback and let you know her overall attitude couldn’t be better.
Thank you so much for sending her to us for her work placement. She’s been an absolute dream to work with”.
