Student Life

At OMBS we understand that studying, whilst very important, is only part of the whole experience of being a student in Oxford.

Social life in Oxford is very good whatever your interests are, you will find a rich variety of cinemas, bars, theatres, museums and sports facilities all just a few minutes walk from the school. London is easily accessible by bus or train taking as little as 55 minutes with very special student rates.

You may wish to undertake part-time work to enrich your CV, meet more people, and earn well-needed cash. There are hundreds of pubs, shops and other businesses that frequently employ students and we will be glad to point you in the right direction Some of our students also find temporary work in an Office during their stay with us.
Oxford Media & Business School aims to provide students with the very best possible preparation for their chosen career. We are proud of our facilities, staff and, of course, our students.
An experience you'll cherish for life: The College is in the heart of old Oxford, a stone's throw from Christ Church College and close by the city centre with its shops, cafés and vibrant night-life.

Oxford is one of the world’s great University cities and to study here is an opportunity of a lifetime. Student life at Oxford Media & Business School is designed to match that of university with students enjoying independence, but with the reassuring support of the college when required.

Oxford Union

When joining OMBS as a new student or 'fresher' you are eligible to join one of the Oxford's most interesting and oldest Unions: The Union. Founded in 1823, the Oxford Union has been a central location for students to meet in the City and acts as a social focus within the college system.

The Union has 10,000 resident Members and roughly 85% of new students join every year. World renowned as the world's foremost debating society, it has a deserved reputation for bringing international guests and speakers to Oxford. The Union is also famous for its balls that it holds throughout the year, and best of all, at a much cheaper price than any individual University ball.
