Graduation July 2014

Monday July 14 2014

Another year has come to an end but we have celebrated in style with a wonderful graduation ceremony held at St Aldates Church.  It is a beautiful, spacious setting located in the heart of Oxford, allowing the students to invite both family and friends.  We had nearly 400 guests which created a buzzing atmosphere.

Before the certificates were awarded by the Principal, Mrs Andrea Freeman, we had the pleasure of Jo Donelan being our keynote speaker.  Jo Donelan is the director and co-founder of Hatty Blue, a leading London recruitment agency. She gave a wonderful and poignant speech providing good advice for our students to follow through life.  Many guests have commented on how great a speech it was.  To view it please click here

OMBS also invited representatives from several other recruitment agencies – Bain & Gray, Angela Mortimer, Joyce GuinessAsh Personnel and Berry Recruitment. Our students have been in regular contact with all of these agencies throughout the past 9 months; therefore, it was a great opportunity for the agencies to show their continued support towards our students.

After the ceremony everyone celebrated with a glass of bubbly and some tasty canapés.  There was also the chance to have professional photos taken, by Tempest Photography, in OMBS graduation gowns but more importantly time to say fond farewells to tutors and fellow students who are by now firm friends.

We have seventy nine students now ready to launch themselves into the workplace confident and prepared with all the right skills that make them extremely employable, so much so that eighteen of our students successfully secured a job before they completed the course.

We wish each and every one of our graduates the very best of luck in their future endeavours and remind them that we are always here to help.
